When we met to discuss how we might create a work sufficiently profound to be a picture of space, we thought that we should use the most expressive techniques so to blend what is 'the stuff' of life with the uncertainties and perplexities that remain fundamental to space. Life's journey, if you like, being immersed by what is the most mysterious of all things.

There is also the subject of 'extra-terrestrials' and this fascinates most of all and being in the book business, we knew we had to be both original and confrontational without being accused of madness in the process!

We thought that the most descriptive mode of presentation
would be achieved by a series of cantos, expressive
pictures, and also a story that does uniquely
encompass 'extra-terrestrial' phenomena.
