The author has sought to set the reader up for a catastrophic change with regard to what the main character Frank Lawrence, (a worldly, ex-merchant seaman) has come to live as a normal life. This change, a transformation from the mundanities of an every-day world, to a cosmic (alien) reality, then back to this world, to remain with a gradual seeping through of the astonishing experience that he comes to learn as having been real. And what an experience! WEIRD!!!!

Into Frank's oblivion had appeared a voice. This voice gracefully meandered and cast an intensity of emotion that he found great difficulty in relating to. This was because the voice had been sensual and adoring. It was that of a female, yet it was very strange, as though intertwining around his awareness, swooning, supporting and lifting him. The voice was both a beckoning pathway and an intention guiding Frank upon itself. The voice appeared again. With it came a further sensation that he was one and the same as the voice. Zalia moved closer to Frank and gently placed her hands upon each side of his face. The palpating movements of her fingertips created an ease in which he began feeling a little stronger, more able to accept her affection, though there had never been a beautiful and loving 'woman' like her and surely, there could never be. She offered him a whisper, "Zalia loves you," then she began devouring his mouth. After frenetic and passionate moments standing with melded lips, she parted herself from him by moving her face very slightly away. She whispered again, "I was given sanction to bring you here, but I have to return you shortly........

After turning to resume eye contact, she began telling him, "I really am what the human race would call an alien.....Yes, but for now allow me to tell you that our existence is known to extremely few humans. With these very few, we can enter the world as they make it in their minds, by seeing through their eyes and intertwining around and even creating their thoughts, if we so desire......Yes, it is so."

It dawned on Frank that she was speaking English. How could this be, he wondered....if she were an alien? The shallowness of his insight immediately became obvious. She was using his repertoire of associations, those which he knew the world by, otherwise he could not know her sensibly at all......
