It is rather difficult to find here what is not too much.

You see, everything is too much.

I mean in so far as it needs far more explanation than I can briefly give.

To be honest I am very afraid of any statements regarding the characters

made in isolation. What they might sound like, as it were,

when given without the rest of it.

The most controversial relationships display very complicated characteristics

and having said this, their relationship, ie. that of Marianna and Lawrence

holds nothing that isn’t as far off the scale as it is possible to go.

What does the relationship involve?

To be quick, it encompasses ‘people’ with an awareness of a reality set apart

from the norm and in this reality exist their past lives,

often spent as mother and son, in addition where there have been murders,

adventure, tragedy,

times spent in ferocious application to dramatic art and so on ……

She Bird Song

“The voices of our opera are the most rich. They cannot be born tamely.”

“Where would you like ‘Ariadne and Dio’ to be performed?” asked Marianna.

“In supplication to the Divine Mother, upon the site of our Roman theatres,

in the shadows made by the remains of the Temple of Jupiter Capitolene,

that sacred site. Elsewhere, Dodonna in Greece, additionally,

for there, remains the site of a shrine to the Divine Mother.

I am aware that it is consequent upon many factors. Octavian knows.”

Marianna glanced over at the man in question and said, “Octavian, I feel so very fulfilled.”

To which he reciprocated with a tacit smile. Athene continued hence;

“Marianna, you are the one whom the poets name, Aphrodite.

I do love you in completeness and in everlasting life.

Look for me as I dwell in the celestial abyss.

I shall mingle with you. I do cease. As I do arise and am rebirthed.

Now I have a request of you, Octavian.”

She is smiling

She is the woman, likewise she is the ocean, the lands, the skies,

the cosmos with all the planets in orbits and stars in constellations around

and beyond them. He is a mere man, upon a sphere and unable to do anything,

only drown.

That is, unless she chooses to spare him his inadequacy

and restore him to life in the Botticelli garden, wherein he can breath

and be set apart from other men who in their folly,

their thoughts of themselves as controllers, as rulers and destined for

the higher order existence, but who, in truth are destined for nothing at all.

“Good night, my precious baby-boy-child. I want you to be as the light that does shine through the forest trees. I want you to be ever as the bright, the ancient and the young, from one place into another, from one life into another, the ancient into the young. I want you to be as the light that does shine through the forest trees.”

Callassa. Mea Me Comparare

“You are more than drawn into the mystery of my sex. You have no choice, because I pull you into me.

Therein, you lose yourself completely.”

Callassa

“I am celestial glee upon your male made fantasy.”

Callassa

“Can you feel my pulsed breathing upon your mind? Can you live in my house or that whose contents are mere thoughts of mankind?

Callassa

“Deeper and darker still, still as the darkest of all the nights and within, a capacity of what is infinite. Therein the invisible who roams and is the night that engulfs the day and into where I am forever held. I say I would draw my shadow in prose, but then what of it? I am all of the shadow for I know I am nothing else, nor can otherwise be.”

Callassa

“My power will intertwine around your every single thought. In dreams there I will dance, in alliance with the fantastic then more colourful I, more of the perfect beauty.”

Callassa

The importance attributed, whereby suspecting and believing have to achieve impossible status that cannot ever be the case appears as does the rain scatter across the sky.”

Callassa

“Only women are gods, and not all men are men.”

Callassa

“If you could know what is out of your capacity then what you say and what you have said would be altogether different and so would your behaviour.”

Callassa

“Whether you accept what I say or nay is of no consequence, but if in your closing moments you do, then you shall know beauty in perpetua.”

“But our play, our very own ‘Ariadne and Dio’,

that we did caste and which Octavian did complete upon our departure

be the finest, as it represents we; you, Octavian, Lawrence and myself,

though it hallows divine blooms that were before, during and after us,

equally and it curses every sense of those who are not.”

“Athene, I was considering using the play to tell the truth about myself,

to show humans who we really are.”

“I know your thoughts. Do not fret for the consequences.

I intend to protect you. What happened (at Roma) shall not play again.

The performers will die, because I intend to repose as the golden eagle

and the most vengeful creature of all history.

Recall, when I tore out the eyes of Dio’s slayer in the arena?

I will act so again and much more in same and difference.

I must tell you that above my head at the twenty-third hour of each day will appear a star,

the very puissance that Octavian witnessed when Gaius Julius reappeared for him.

Beneath the shroud of my golden wings, you shall consume the ultimate protection.

My beloved sister, this, I swear.

Hail the Almighty Caesar.

Hail Aphrodite.”
