An altogether different presentation where the subject of extra-terrestrials is mixed with very human emotion and which in consequence becomes exaggerated to an epic extent. This does facilitate very different considerations; the foundation of these being bound with time and place, together with the expectations that have grown. The latter is dealt a devastating blow because all that is assumed to be the case is swept aside.

Translucent Haze is thus, a very controversial piece and in its emotional grip, is extremely powerful.

Barry Lawrence lives on San Francisco Bay. He lives with his aged mother. He is desperate to find a girlfriend by using his computer. However, who finds him is absolutely unbelievable and it doesn’t stop there, but to tell you why it is would spoil things.

OK, she is not only a woman though she has the attributes, she is a ‘space visitor’ and calls herself CALLASSA. But what does her appearance this way actually mean because the extent of her difference is astronomical. How can she possibly be from the year 5012? Why does she hate humans to the extent that she does? Why has she ‘chosen’ Barry?

The emotion bound up with looking for love and finding it is immense. And via the translucent haze circle in the sky so becomes the devastation that she inflicts, not just upon Barry and the city of San Francisco, but upon the entire world.

So what is Callassa?

A yearning for love, made dormant in thought and where there is the fear that there, it shall remain. When Barry decides that the woman of his dreams might likewise be dormant; la femme incomprise, he decides to begin searching for her. It has to be said that Barry’s vision of the endearment, the kiss and warm hand held becomes so much more in ways that could only have been inconceivable. Immediately upon his beginning the search he is found and securely held in a surety comprising of elements that are ferocious, antagonistic to the established order and powerful in ways he cannot even begin to relate. The woman of his dreams is not merely a woman but far, far more and she wreaks devastation not only upon him and the city of San Francisco but the entire world. Incidentally the translucent haze is a circle that appears above the city.
